Remarq is a Chrome extension that generates AI-powered comments for YouTube, LinkedIn, and Substack.

Data We Collect

We collect only the following:

• Text you highlight on pages (sent to our backend solely to generate a comment, never stored)
• Your preferred comment tone (stored locally in your browser)

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information
• No browsing history
• No authentication credentials
• No financial information
• No location data

How Your Data Is Used

Highlighted text is sent to our backend server solely to generate a contextually relevant comment using the Anthropic Claude API. This data is not logged, stored, or shared with any third party beyond Anthropic’s API.

Data Storage

Tone preference is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. No data is stored on our servers.

Third Parties

We use the Anthropic Claude API solely for comment generation. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to data processed by their API. See: https://www.anthropic.com/privacy
